House painting
Sep. 23rd, 2020 03:11 pmWe are in the middle of getting our house painted. It has been a neutral color for the entire time we have lived her (33 years) and for the 30 years before that, when my grandmother owned this house.
Not any more.
We decided it was time for a change and we needed to break out of our safe zone. We opted for yellow with a cream trim and a blue door and accents. We were picturing a rich warm yellow and a dark blue The yellow is brighter and the blue is lighter than we planned, but I am kind of digging it.
When the blue went up yesterday I yelled to my husband working pstairs that it is more of a UCLA blue rather than a Cal (Berkeley) blue. (He went to Cal and I went to UCLA). I told hubby tht he can change the blue if he wants to, but if he doesn't, he can't complain for the next ten years.
I cant share photos yet because the scaffolding is up and blocks the house. But I will when it's done.
